Museum
The Museum contains over 600 exhibits, mostly gifts to President Jayewardene from Kings and Queens and Heads of States whilst he was Prime Minister and President of Sri Lanka. The nature and elaborateness of this range of exhibits reflect the personal relations he had with other foreign Heads of States and their appreciation of his far reaching foreign policy.

Papers and documents include those relating to the Colombo Plan in 1950; his speech at the conclusion of the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco in 1951, which later became a landmark in Japan's liberation and post-war reconstruction; records relating to four SAARC conferences from 1985 to 1988 and the Indo-Ceylon Accord of 1987.

Also among the archives are the President's diaries from 1932 to 1993. Documents and records relating to his personal career from 1943 to the time of his retirement as Executive President of the Republic of Sri Lanka are also kept here.
